It’s always wonderful to read your words, Charity. You bring so many great resources to us too! Thank you for taking the time in your busy schedule to share with us. I think you are ‘shimmering’ also.
I wonder if you would like to receive a book that has put a “shimmer” in my life. I know you allowed me to send cards to your mom but since you have moved, I no longer have your address. I can send you the author and title if you would prefer. Jill Garvey. jillmamag@gmail.com
I love this so much Charity, and your words are always a gift whenever they appear. As ever, the ripples in thinking and reflection, they create are enough to keep us going in-between Wonder Reports!
Reading about your poetry habit, have you come across Rowan Williams’s latest book, A Century of Poetry: 100 poems for searching the heart? I think you might love it, if not, as he has some powerful reflections on each poem (the format means you can check the index and dip in and pick poems as you wish).
As for Stations, I remember your beautiful Tissot art meditation series so well. It was wonderful! Going to a church Stations of the Cross on Good Friday afternoon really helped me to enter into the story in the midst of what was a “bitty” and busy Holy Week. I love the Ignation approach of visualising ourselves in any particular scene so powerful, for this very reason. Sending love! 🙏🏻💗
Thanks for these kind words, Jenni, and the recommendation of Williams' book. I moved to Mary Oliver's Devotions after Lent, but I'll have to look at his collection for after that!
I've missed my weekly Stations practice. It's tempting to try to carry that through Eastertide and even ordinary time. But I'm afraid it my lose some of its special "shimmer" that feels so needed during Lent.
I do believe you shimmer regardless, Charity. Thanks for blessing me with these posts.
Thanks, Cheryl!
I was just thinking how much I enjoy reading your perspective on life. Whenever you have time we will be waiting to enjoy it 😄
Thank you, Michelle. It's nice to know my inconsistency in this season isn't a big annoyance for readers.
I loved reading this. Grateful for your thoughts, and how you see the world, Charity.
Thank you, Tasha! I feel the same way about you!

Thanks so much, Sally. I hope you are doing well.
I am doing well. It is always wonderful to read whatever you share with us.

Hi Jill -- I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond. How could I pass up a book with shimmer? : ) Emailing you now!
