It’s Monday again … which means another opportunity to chase wonder together as we continue to explore the theme of gathering.
Here’s the question: What are your best tips for hosting a gathering? What are those things you always do when planning an event? How do you make the meeting or party centered on the guests and their needs? And while we haven’t really been talking about the logistics of gatherings (recipes, decorations, games, etc.), feel free to share your best tips about those things, too.
Well, it's been a long time since I hosted anyone. :) But the last time we had people over from church for a gathering and meeting, we provided childcare (albeit upstairs/outside). That can be a bit tricky, but the babysitter was very good/someone familiar to several of the kids, and my oldest child also helped out. And I think we let kids watch a video or something, too.
Had the gathering just been for social purposes, we would have had kids right in the mix, but since we needed to meet on some serious subjects, we wanted to make sure kiddos were looked after and entertained.

I love this, Rhonda. It sounds like you spent time and resources anticipating the needs of your guests for this particular gathering.
